Send events to your own system with webhooks

A webhook sends an HTTPS request to your server when something happens in Example App. This is a placeholder article for the ThenCue spike.

Add a webhook

  1. Open Settings, then Developer, then Webhooks.
  2. Select Add endpoint and enter your HTTPS URL.
  3. Choose the events to send, such as task created or project archived.
  4. Select Save.

Verify requests

Each request carries a signature header. Compute the signature with your endpoint’s signing secret and compare it before trusting the payload.

If your server does not respond with a 2xx status, we retry up to five times over a day.
