Create an API token

An API token lets a script or another service act on your behalf. This is a placeholder article for the ThenCue spike.

Create a token

1. Open Settings, then Developer.
2. Select New token and give it a name that says what it is for.
3. Choose the permissions it needs: read, write or both.
4. Select Create.

The token is shown once. Copy it into your secrets manager straight away, because we cannot show it again. Never put a token in source control or share it in chat.
